Lambda Chi Alpha Properties (LCAP)

Since the 1950s, the General Fraternity has performed over 200 real estate transactions. By the early 1990s, the Fraternity needed professional real estate management and in-depth consulting for house corporations. LCAP began in the early 1990s as a committee that advised the Fraternity Board of Directors, the Grand High Zeta. In 1999, three chapter properties and six mortgages were transferred to a new not-for-profit corporation, LCAP, to provide full-time professional management.

Beginning with only a few chapters, LCAP has grown in its abilities to provide service to chapters. Over 50 chapters are currently receiving substantial service from LCAP. Nearly 500 men will be residing in LCAP-managed facilities next fall.

The LCAP Board of Directors consists of seven alumni members with professional expertise in accounting, law, banking, consulting, and real estate. These men have more than 100 years of combined local house corporation experience and have visited hundreds of fraternity houses.

A professional staff is also dedicated to all areas of housing including: transactions, property management, financing, analysis, market research, and consulting. New this year is also a broadening of LCAP’s services. LCAP will now begin to take a more integral role in the operations and recruitment efforts of chapters that reside in LCAP properties.
