IHQ dedicates classroom to longtime volunteer

On Nov.6 members of the Grand High Zeta, Student Advisory Committee and IHQ staff joined together to honor longtime volunteer and brother Jon Williamson (Maryland – College Park) by naming the headquarters classroom space after him. Also in attendance was Williamson’s wife and two of his children.

Jon grew up in Bethesda, Md. and graduated from the University of Maryland. He joined Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity in his freshman year and it remained an integral part of his entire life. Being a man of great honor, who felt it was his duty to serve his country, Jon enlisted in the Army and served a year in Vietnam. He had a long career working with the Treasury Dept. in Houston, TX and after retirement went on to have a second career as the Executive Director of the North-American Interfraternity Conference.
