John Goff receives Order of Achievement

The Lambda Chi Alpha Order of Achievement Award was first established in 1958 to honor those members who have distinguished themselves by achieving outstanding success in the field of business, industry, politics, the arts, science, or other professions. Their accomplishments bring honor to Lambda Chi Alpha and serve as an inspiration to their brothers. These men represent the Fraternity’s ideals in action, and serve as an example for undergraduates who are preparing to step out into the world.

When considering men who are qualified for this award, the Grand High Zeta takes into consideration the character of the individual in question. Some of the prominent recipients of this award include:

  • Former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Harry A. Blackmun
  • Inspired World War II aviator Lieutenant General Jimmy Doolittle
  • ESPN Founder Bill Rasmussen
  • Legendary Basketball Coach Henry “Hank” Iba
  • Noted Psychologist B.F. Skinner
  • Former U.S. President Harry S. Truman

Members of the Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation and Fraternity travelled to Ft. Worth, Texas to award the latest recipient, John Goff (Texas-Austin), the fraternity’s highest professional honor. Goff, co-founder of Crescent Real Estate and head of Goff Capital Partners was recognized for his career achievements and commitment to Lambda Chi Alpha values.

Goff accepted the award during an intimate dinner attended by his older brother, University of Texas-Austin undergrads, alumni and Lambda Chi Alpha Foundation board members and professional staff.
