Kappa-Mu Chapter at Culver-Stockton College Will Celebrate 150-Year Anniversary

The Kappa-Mu chapter at Culver-Stockton College, located in Canton, Missouri, will celebrate their 150-year anniversary at the end of September. As one of the oldest continuous fraternity west of the Mississippi River, this celebration will be one to remember.

Beginning as Hawkins Literary Society in 1867, and later Alpha Delta Theta from 1915-1926, the men of this chapter have seen their fair share of history throughout the years. The fraternity became the first national fraternity on campus as Theta Kappa Nu in the fall of 1926 until 1939, when Lambda Chi Alpha and Theta Kappa Nu merged to become the largest fraternity merger in history.  To read more about the history of Kappa-Mu, click here.

To ring in 150 years, the men of Kappa-Mu have much in store for alumni and undergraduates alike. The weekend of celebration will include golf, campus tours, honors banquets, and the College’s Blue & White Mixer.

Kappa-Mu has over 165 alumni already committed to the weekend, with the hope of attracting even more. For many alumni, the highlight of the weekend will come in the form of a Saturday night gala, attended by four current or former national officers and headed by keynote speaker, Fletcher McElreath, Grand High Alpha. Josh Lodolo, CEO of the Educational Foundation, will also be in attendance.
