Cyril F. “Duke” Flad Outstanding Undergraduate

This award was created in 1970 to honor Duke Flad, who served as the Fraternity’s second chief executive from 1942–68. One outstanding undergraduate from among all student members is selected annually to receive this award.

Order of Merit

Since 1935 the Fraternity has recognized unusual, lengthy, and dedicated service — particularly at the local chapter level — with election to the Order of Merit.

Order of Achievement

The Order of Achievement is presented to those brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha who have distinguished themselves by outstanding accomplishment in their chosen field and serve as a role model through their success and have thereby brought honor and respect to our great Fraternity.

Fraternity Advisor of the Year

May be awarded annually to a Fraternity or Greek Adviser who has rendered exemplary service to the Greek system on a particular campus or on a number of campuses.

George W. Spasyk Order of Interfraternity Service

The Order of Interfraternity Service was created in 1958 to recognize those men and women who have contributed outstanding service in the betterment of all college fraternal organizations. In 2002, this exceptional award was renamed “The George W. Spasyk Order of Interfraternity Service”, to honor and recognize Executive Vice President Emeritus George Spasyk for his 40 years of service and commitment to Lambda Chi Alpha and the interfraternity world.

Distinguished Service

Awarded to Alumni Brothers for outstanding contributions at the International Fraternity Level.

High Alpha of the Year

**NEW**

To honor a Brother who goes above and beyond to represent Lambda Chi Alpha, exhibiting extraordinary leadership through their time as High Alpha. This Brother should exceed expectations for what it means to be a High Alpha of Lambda Chi Alpha, serving his Zeta in a way that creates long-term, sustainable impact. 

Nomination requirements include three references and completion of Stead Leadership Academy – Leading Teams (Role Ready).

High Tau of the Year

**NEW**

To honor a Brother who goes above and beyond to represent Lambda Chi Alpha, exhibiting extraordinary leadership through their time as High Tau. This Brother should exceed expectations for what it means to be a High Tau of Lambda Chi Alpha, serving his Zeta in a way that creates long term, sustainable impact.  

Nomination requirements include three references and completion of Stead Leadership Academy – Essentials in Finance (Role Ready).

High delta of the Year

**NEW**

To honor a Brother who goes above and beyond to represent Lambda Chi Alpha, exhibiting extraordinary leadership through their time as High Delta. This Brother should exceed expectations for what it means to be a High Delta of Lambda Chi Alpha, serving his Zeta in a way that creates long term, sustainable impact. 

Nomination requirements include three references and completion of Stead Leadership Academy – Recruiting and Sales (Role Ready).

High Kappa of the Year

**NEW**

To honor a Brother who goes above and beyond to represent Lambda Chi Alpha, exhibiting extraordinary leadership through their time as High Kappa. This Brother should exceed expectations for what it means to be a High Kappa of Lambda Chi Alpha, serving his Zeta in a way that creates long term, sustainable impact. 

Nomination requirements include three references and completion of Stead Leadership Academy – Learning & Development (Role Ready). 

High Pi of the Year

**NEW**

To honor a Brother who has gone above and beyond as an Alumni to represent Lambda Chi Alpha through their service as High Pi. This award celebrates the contributions of a High Pi who has created a lasting impact on a Zeta through utilization of partnerships with stakeholders from their Advisory Board (AB), campus partners, OOA team members, and community members. 

Nomination requirements include being nominated by the undergraduate Chapter, Alumni, or outside stakeholder (Fraternity/Sorority advisor, University partner, etc).  Three references are required. 

Associate Member of the Year

**NEW**

To honor an Associate Member who goes above and beyond to represent Lambda Chi Alpha values and exhibits extraordinary leadership potential. Nomination requires three references.  

Each Chapter would be encouraged to nominate one Member as their “Associate Member of the Year” nominee. 

Naught without Labor

**NEW**

This award honors a Brother who has developed a strategic vision and implemented change through programming or community impact. This award honors innovation. This Member doesn’t have to hold a leadership position in the Chapter but goes above and beyond to represent Lambda Chi Alpha values and exhibits extraordinary leadership. Nomination requires three references. 

Each Chapter would be encouraged to nominate one Member as their “Naught without Labor” nominee. 

Every man a Man

**NEW**

To honor a Member who doesn’t hold a leadership position in the Chapter and goes above and beyond to represent Lambda Chi Alpha values and exhibits extraordinary leadership. Nomination requires three references.  

Each Chapter would be encouraged to nominate one Member as their “Every Man a Man” nominee. 

Perfect Brotherly Love

**NEW**

To honor a Member who promotes the Total Health of Members, without holding a leadership position. This Member exhibits Lambda Chi Alpha values and exhibits extraordinary leadership. Nomination requirements include three letters of recommendation and  completion of Ideal Man.

Each Chapter would be encouraged to nominate one Member as their “Perfect Brotherly Love” nominee. 

Friend of Fraternity

**NEW**

To honor a volunteer, staff member, or campus/community partner (who doesn’t have to be a member) who represents Lambda Chi Alpha and serves the Fraternity in a way that goes above and beyond Membership. This person can be nominated by a Zeta, Fraternity staff member, and/or Alumni. Three references and a resume should be submitted on their behalf.  

 

 

International Ritual Team

A team of individuals from throughout the country will be assembled to perform an exemplification of the Initiation Ritual during the General Assembly.

 

Grand High Zeta Nominations

The Grand High Zeta performs a critical function in establishing the strategic direction for our Fraternity and in acting as “the supreme executive, legislative, and judicial body of the Fraternity during the interim between sessions of the General Assembly.”
