With the recent hire of Dan Hartmann as the new president and CEO of the Educational Foundation, staff are also excited to welcome two new faces to the Foundation. Justin Reed and Tony Viviano join the Foundation staff as they enter a new era of fundraising and stewardship.
Justin Reed
A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Reed joined Lambda Chi Alpha staff for the first time as an Educational Leadership Consultant. After traveling the country for two years, he pursued his master’s degree at the University of Texas and continued his career at a small non-profit company in Austin.
There, Reed found his passion for non-profit work and found his way back to Lambda Chi Alpha. He now serves as the Development Coordinator for the Educational Foundation. In his new role, Reed will handle everything from gift processing to donor acknowledgement.
“I am so excited to be back here and working for an organization that has single-handedly changed my life,” said Reed. “I ultimately want to become a fundraiser, and I see this as an opportunity to really build a strong foundation.”
Tony Viviano
Viviano comes to the Educational Foundation with a wealth of fundraising knowledge. During his time at McKendree University as a student, Viviano got his start in fundraising by leading the university’s most successful senior gift campaign. When it came time for his graduation, a position opened at McKendree for him to continue his work in fundraising. Viviano was responsible for overseeing the annual fund and student philanthropy, among other things.
He then brought his talent for fundraising to Purdue University, where he worked closely with annual giving.
At Lambda Chi Alpha, Viviano now serves as the Director of Annual Giving and Stewardship, where he will oversee the annual fund and stewardship and make sure that the Foundation remains consistently engaged with current and future donors.
“Transitioning from higher education to Greek Life and being an Alpha Kappa Lambda alum, I have an understanding of Greek Life, but then also bringing in all of my experience fundraising for a university structure, the part that I am most excited about is just diving in and bringing all of that experience to the fraternity,” said Viviano.
Both Reed and Viviano look forward to gaining more knowledge in their respective positions and moving the Foundation forward in their mission of funding, developing and supporting values-based educational programs and activities which will inspire a lifetime of personal growth, leadership, service, and deep fraternal relationships.
