Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity to enter partnership with The One Love Foundation

Carmel, IN – February 6, 2020 – The Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity Board of Directors is excited to announce a new partnership with The One Love Foundation, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to educate young people about healthy and unhealthy relationships, empower them to identify and avoid abuse, and build healthier relationships.

Lambda Chi Alpha will work with One Love to create educational programs that support the creation of relationship health amongst its members and their circles of influence. The programs will provide practical, tactical and actionable recommendations based on the best available evidence, literature and expert input.

One Love Chief Executive Officer Katie Hood said, “We are thrilled to partner with Lambda Chi Alpha to educate its 10,000 collegiate members on healthy love. In doing so, we hope to inspire this unique community to not only have their own healthy relationships but to also teach others.”

One Love will create workshops and trainings for collegiate and alumni members to expand their understanding of a healthy relationship, their connection to social media and facilitator duties.

Chief Executive Officer of Lambda Chi Alpha, Troy Medley, commented on the partnership saying, “This collaboration with One Love is going to empower our members to create and continue healthy relationships with One Love’s comprehensive guides. Our members will have the tools they need to build healthy relationships at their fingertips.”

Lambda Chi Alpha’s partnership with One Love will focus on the creation of educational curriculum that supports relationship health amongst its members and their peers, skill development to recognize the behaviors that lead to relationship abuse, learning bystander intervention skills, and deeper understanding and adherence to policies regarding consent put in place by institutions across North America.

One Love was founded in honor of Yeardley Love, a 22-year-old college student who was killed by her ex-boyfriend. After her death, the family started the One Love Foundation to educate young people about the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships. To date, the organization has educated more than million young people. For more information and to learn how to #lovebetter, visit joinonelove.org.
