The Ideal Man Code is the foundation of Lambda Chi Alpha’s leadership experience. Through the Lambda Chi Academy, Brothers develop the character, integrity, and leadership skills to Live the Code throughout their lives.
The Eight Principles of the Ideal Man Code
The Ideal Man Code defines who we aspire to be as Lambda Chi Alpha men. It calls each Brother to live these principles throughout his lifelong journey:
- He stands up for others.
- He is steadfast in his pursuit of growth.
- He does what is right, even when it is difficult.
- He treats every person with dignity.
- He pursues knowledge with purpose.
- He seeks wisdom.
- He governs himself by principle.
- He loves his Brothers and his community.
Carry the Code With You
Every undergraduate member of Lambda Chi Alpha receives an Ideal Man Code card as a personal reminder of the principles he is called to live.
Members are encouraged to keep it throughout their lives—carrying the Code into their relationships, careers, communities, and lifelong Brotherhood.
A Structured Journey Toward Personal and Professional Growth
Our home for supporting Members from Association to Initiation. All the learning and experiences are designed to foster Brotherhood and develop character. Featuring our premier Member safety experience and hazing education, we believe every Member should complete these lessons as a part of their onboarding process.
An evolving suite of educational programs designed to support all Members. With Lambda Chi specific content to practical life skills like financial literacy and public speaking, the program is built with Chapters and our Members in mind. New programs are added based on what Members tell us they want to see next.
Here we feature stories of the positive impact Lambda Chi Alpha has on Brothers’ lives and turn them into learning opportunities for all Chapters. Each story we feature is paired with a reflection sheet and guide to help each Chapter and our Members learn more about the Global Zeta and the reach Lambda Chi Alpha has beyond their campus.
